Six years in the making, Maxular is a rounded slab serif typeface by award-winning designer, author, and educator Steven Skaggs. Maxular Rx is the first typeface expressly designed — and proven in scientific tests — to address the visual distortions caused by Macular Degeneration.

Maxular Rx is free for personal and Non-Profit use. Commercial use requires the purchase of a standard desktop license.

Maxular Rx has a character set of over 700 glyphs, with support for 315 languages including Czech, Polish, Turkish, and Vietnamese. It is a versatile, friendly and easy to read typeface. Use it as a fresh alternative in place of other typewriter style fonts for its proportional spacing, its high readability, and superior legibility for copy set in smaller sizes.
